15345.35v, RAE, 2245-2310. Local Argentine music. Spanish talk. ID. Weak but readable. Slightly wobbly, unstable carrier drifting about 10 hertz during this time period. (Brian Alexander, PA)

15400 HCJB (Kununurra), 2352-2402. Talk in Indonesian by a man, joined for a few comments by a woman at times. A collision between HCJB Australia and WYFR Okeechobee (in English) on 15400. Signal strength was poor to moderate for both, with HCJB occasionally on top. Both weaker by the top of the hour. (Jim Evans, TN)

15400, HCJB Kununurra, 1226-1237. English. Male/female announcers with s-l-o-w English program regarding making a doctors appointment and what to expect at the hospital. Signal weak-poor and fading by tune-out. (Scott Barbour-NH)

Bolivia
3309.98, Radio Mosoj Chaski Cochabamba, 1009-1015. Spanish. Announcers with talk and music bits. Lengthy talk by male announcer. Music at 1014. Fair-poor signal. (Scott Barbour-NH)

6134.78, Radio Santa Cruz, 1020-1030. Noted a very weak signal here which was just off frequency enough to be able to hear it under Brazil. Noted a female in Spanish language comments. Terrible noise on this freq anyway, but at 1028 something starts which covers Santa Cruz pretty well. Rechecked at 1052 and only the carrier was audible, but barely.(Chuck Bolland, FL)

4885, Radio Clube do Para (Belem). 0453. Portuguese programming. Similar to 1970’s U.S. disco. Male announcer with ID including city and frequency. Fair signal. (Joe Wood,TN)

5045, Radio Cultura (Belem). 0458-0510. Easy-listening and middle-of-the-road Brazilian pop music. ID at 0508. Good signal (Joe Wood, TN).

5970, Radio Itatiaia (Belo Horizonte) (presumed), 0003-0014. Portuguese. While listening to the BBC via Oman, heard a weak station under them with Portuguese talk by multiple people.Sounded like a drama or a group of people in an enthusiastic discussion. A poor signal, improving to the point that it was almost strong as the BBC. (Jim Evans, TN)


11915, Radio Gaucha (Porto Alegra) (presumed), 2331-2342, Portuguese. Talk by two men, one in the studio and one remote. The remote speaker did most of the talking. Multiple announcements and/or ads over and around music at 2339. Back to two man talk format at 2342. Poor signal with fading, plus heavy high side interference from HCJB. (Jim Evans, TN)

4755, Radio Imaculada Conceicoa Campo Grande, 0318-0332. Portuguese. Male announcers
with religous sounding talk. Ballad at 0327. Brief talk at 0331 and back to music. Very weak signal. (Barbour-NH)

11765, Super Radio Deus é Amor, Curitiba PR, 0550-0610. Emotional Portuguese preacher. Local religious music. ID announcement at 0601. Poor and Weak signal // 9565.21 - poor, weak. // 6060 - weak under Cuba. (Brian Alexander, PA)

5910, Marfil Estereo (Puerto Lleras), 2358-2403. Spanish announcement and ID. Local pop vocal music. Talk between man and woman at 2403. Moderate signal with some fading and utility interference. (Jim Evans, TN)

Guam
9910, KTWR Agana, 1209-1217. Mandarin service during lady announcer's brief instrumental music at 1210. Contact info over music at 1211. Male/female announcers from 1212 then just male announcer. Good signal. (Scott Barbour-NH)

Japan
9750, NHK/Radio Japan, Ibaraki, 1144-1202. Japanese. Music ballad and talk with two male announcers. Take Me Out to the Ballgame tune in English at 1153. Male announcer from 1154 with music bits. lady announcer over music at 1159 with (presumed) station identification announcment. Listened for mentions of "NHK" and "Rajio Nippon" but nothing close. Time tips as 5+1 at 1200 followed by announcer with news. Signal fair-good with Qu'ran like recitationa underneath from 1200. Presumably via co-channel Voice of Malaysia. (Scott Barbour-NH)

Madagascar
5010, RTV Malagasy Antananarivo, 0302-0314. Listed Malagasy. Lively indigenous music, very nice Male/female announcers at 0308 with passing mention of Madagascar. Program intro at 0310 followed by male/female banter/interview. Booming signal in reduced carrier USB. (Barbour-NH)

Palau
12040, Radio Australia (Medorn), 2345-2400.* English. Two men with Aussie accents talking. Poor signal, down badly by 2356. Couldn't determine the subject of the discussion. (Jim Evans, TN)

Papua New Guinea
3260 Radio Madang 1148-1207* Long Island song. Male announcer in Pidgin with music announcements. Welcome greetings, and mention of upcoming medley of Pop songs. Then said medley over 1200 UTC. Returned at 1203 with song announcement, then full NBC ID with shortwave and FM frequencies - ending with location. Something said by child, then into soft island song to 1207 cut off near the end, some deadair, then signal gone. Great signal!! (Dave Valko, PA/HCDX)

3275 Radio Southern Highlands 1148-1210. Interview program seemingly about road construction in the Province with many ments of Mendi and Highlands. Thank you's at 1210 thank, then the recording ended unfortunately. Quite readable after 1200. (Dave Valko, PA/HCDX)

Peru
4746.96, Radio Huanta Dos Mil, 1052-1100. I was about to give up on Peruivan or Bolivian Radio Stations for the morning, thinking that everyone was probably sleeping in today, when I tuned across this freq and heard Huanta Dos Milwith music. 7265, VOA (Tinang II - Portable), 2302-2310. English. Man with news of Olympics, Chile earthquake, etc. ID at 2305. Poor signal, strength decreasing, with some fading. Very weak

7600v, FRS - Holland, *0852:30-0920. station sign-on with opening music. Opening ID announcements at 0858 and 0901. Pop music at 0902. Acknowledged listeners’ reports. Poor signal. music. Very weak. Very poor with adjacent channel splatter from Cairo 6290 and occasional RTTY interference. No parallel freqs heard. Sundays only. (Brian Alexander, PA)

South Korea
9760kHz 1105. KBS World Radio DRM broadcast to Europe. ID is "VT Digital" not "KBS World Radio" as I would have expected. On 9545 (also from Woofferton) the DRM ID is "BBC & DW" as expected.(Sean Gilbert, UK/HCDX)

Surinam
4990, Presumed Radio Apintie, Paramaribo, 0238-0302. English/vern. Power ballad from the 1980's by Heart. Several other pop ballads in English thru 0300. Very brief, canned announcment on occasion, no more than one or two words; (tentative) "Apintie." Signal poor, in ECCS-LSB. (Scott Barbour-NH)

4989.97 Radio Apintie Canned ID at 1030, promo by lady announcer during ad block. Fairly decent signal at the very odd late time!! Modulation seemed higher than usual too.

4990, Radio Apintie (Paramaribo). 0429-0440. Heavy static with the signal diving in and out. Pop mx with some being in English. No Soul or Motown heard tonight. Poor. (Joe Wood, TN).

9745, Presumed Voice of Han Kuanyin, 1128-1142. Mandarin. Ballad at tine-in lady announcer with music bits followed by banter with male announcer. Music ballad at 1142. Good signal.
